I just can't get over the fact that I'm watching you live and clearly from across the country. I'm a Computer Science major and grew up with computers and still marvel at what you're doing.
@wizardElite: I think he's trying to debug an audio problem... When he does Windows Weekly with Paul Thurott (sp?), he talks to Paul using Skype, since leo lives in CA and Paul lives all the way across the country. But on the ustream.tv stream, we were only hearing Leo's side of the conversation.
But wait a minute... yesterday (OR was it Tuesday? I forget) when you did Daily Giz Wiz with Dick, we could hear you both!! Was that because Dick was on a different link (phone/ISDN?) and Paul is on Skype?
hey this is great! i can see you again! i miss the days of zdtv and techtv. i was listening to your latest tech guy podcast and you were talking about cband dishes.. that's how i used to watch techtv. great stuff!
Since anyone still watching this thing probably has some interest in it I'll just ask, does anyone here know of a nice sub 50 dollar USB or analog Mic (Macintosh) that would simply be a significant improvement over the built in Macbook Pro Mic? For Skype calls, but maybe also recording outdoor noises (thunderstorms, birds etc hobbyist style)?
I appreciate even more all the hard work you do from start to finish in producing TWIT podcasts. Maybe you need Shooby to train another person to do what he does, so that he can help in other ways for theTWIT Dynasty, oops, network....
@Gizmo8500: Check out the MicFlex from MacMice.ca Leo and Alex Lindsay were talking about this mic on a MacBreak a while back, and Alex (as well as other PixelCorps employees) use these a lot both in the office and in the field. Really good sound quality and it costs only USS$39.99!! Sounds like this will fit your bill perfectly.

Hey Leo, is there anyway to increase the volume audio feed for Paul, or it's not possible at this time?

Looking good Leo, except for the fact that I can only hear you and not Paul. But audio and video are coming through loud and clear.

Leo: With Audio Hijack Pro - you send it to soundflower -- then use that as the input.

I think what you need for the audio patching is Soundflower 1.2.1
It will let you route audio between apps. on your mac.

@Gizmo8500: For $50, this mic is excellent. Comes with the mic, USB cable, case and a decent little stand. http://www.bswusa.com/proditem.asp?item=Q1U
