Yeah, our dog too gets these. She has since she was a puppy. Pheno (twice a day) helps and the seizures themselves are less frequent and more mild. Fortunately, they haven't ever gotten extreme.
I hope your dog is OK, Leo my cat on Sunday got sick overnight and turns out he has Lupis and ever since then he has gotten worse and is nearing his end after 7 years of life. I am sorry for posting here but I just checked on jaiku and Leo had a sick pet too so my heart goes out to your new pup because mine is breaking for my cat Ollie
Leo I hope Ozzy is going to be all right.But the it sound that Ozzy is in very bad shape. My prayers go to Ozzy and your family as well. I know what it is like to have a very sick Dog I lost mine the the Big C.
My wife's family had a dog that had a similar condition. Took alot of time for her to come back from the initial outset of problems. From now on, the big issue will be diet. You have to watch what they eat closely...

Good luck on the puppy. I just spent $1500 on one the family cats. Yikes!

Awww, I am such an animal lover. I hate to see them sick. Hope Ozzy is ok, and that your kids aren't too traumatized from a sick pupper.

They took a blood sample. It looks like a liver shunt - but the tests should tell us definitively one way or another.
