After a decent first half of the year, Apple is not covering themselves in glory on this whole iPhone roll out. And now the Devs are P.O.'d (not to mention Leo). Bad Apple!

That was payback for the incessant fawning during All Things Digital

Damn you Walt! ;) I hope he gives it 'two' thumbs up! Leo, I know your iPhone is on the way. I can sense it. :-)

I am so curious as to how people will like the Iphone. Doesn't really impress me...and I love gadgets. But I am sure I can easily be switched.

I want to see Ver 2.0 (Christmas?). Already burned a bit buying an Apple TV with teeny HD. Will wait now to see what they can do to improve initial phone model (like GPS, and 3G and more reasonable purchase prices). And they'd better open up for all of the Google Apps or it's an N95 for me.

That is Cold! Not that I would use an iPhone as my primary phone, let alone buy one. There's too much hype around it.

I might have to seek medical or psychiatric help but, if StrikerF35's information on Dvorak is correct, I'm gonna have to agree with him.

That's right: Me and Dvorak... on the same side of an Apple related issue.

    REPENT!!! The end is here!!

Price point is too high...it's a phone that does some cool things with the UI...but a slick UI is not all that makes a great phone. Let's see some deets on audio quality, battery life, etc. Then we'll talk.

I'll be shocked...shocked...if Mossberg falls in love with it.

I'd be shock that he'd got it 2 days before it's intended release date.

Hmm... requires Apple ID on iTunes. Looks like the iPhone is off my list until iTunes covers my part of the world.

Hasn't anybody noticed the discrepancy between Steve at All Things Digital and WWDC? During D5, Steve said: "So people are figuring out how to do more in a browser, how to get a persistent state of things when you’re disconnected from a browser, how do you actually run apps locally using, you know, apps written in those technologies so they can be pretty transparent, whether you’re connected or not.

But it’s happening fairly slowly and there’s still a lot you can do with a rich client environment. At the same time, the hardware is progressing to where you can run a rich client environment on lower and lower cost devices, on lower and lower power devices. And so there’s some pretty cool things you can do with clients."

So my question, basically, is WHAT THE HELL? He specificially gave the iPhone and the Google Maps client they designed as an example of something that was made way better by having a rich client. Like, okay? So when can we make them too, Steve? Where is the SDK?

I'm not surprised Walt already has one... I mean he is on the Apple payroll isn't he?
