he only offered water? Jobs offered an iphone for everyone
eheh... next time you will wait in line for something, at least you will have your iphone.. having a working osx in such a small box is a wonder.
Did he, by chance, recognize you? It would be a trifle jarring to go out intending to 'water the fanboys' and see a genuine Internet personality standing his place.
Atmasphere -- I think they've had them in stock for awhile. They knew exactly how many they had at my local store but wouldn't tell anyone in line. The clerk told me though (30). She'd already used one and said it was as cool as it looked.
You are lucky. Our att manager would not communicate with the crowd. He had 15 phones and 120 people in line. They only announced they had 15 after they sold them. We left, but police were called as the mob was angry. They had been asking the store manager for four hours to just communicate to the crowd. I will drive out of my way to avoid a store that does not respect its customers.

I know you feel very relieved, Leo... kinda like I felt when I got into the keynote line at WWDC!

Sweet! I couldn't take off work today. I hope I'm able to get in a short line afterward and still get a phone.

Hey, Leo, will you keep your Nokia N95, and give your daughter the iPhone, after you finish your review?

What CAN a person do with a N95 AND an iPhone?! Leo, I'm anxious to hear how you will handle that perplexing situation.

Better question... what can a person do with an iPhone that they can't do with an N95?

@kirkk Good question! The answer: use the iPhone to take a picture of the N95. You could also use the N95 to take a picture of the iPhone.
The funny thing though, the picture OF the iPhone will look better because you took it with the N95 which has 5 megapixels instead of 2 to the iPhone.

Ironic that most of these live video feeds of people standing in line to buy the iPhone are being served up by Verizon's EVDO network.
