Here, they let the 1st guy in alone, he got interviewed and all that. then it was like 2 at a time. I was # 7. iPhone's Battery comes barely charged, well at least mine did, so be prepared to charge it soon. Good Luck Leo! I think you'll love it.
Wish i was there, but im kind of broke. Plus, I don't know if 14 year olds can open cell phone accounts by themselves. Sigh. Guess I'm stuck with a Sidekick 3.
In Frisco, TX we got 100 phones. I was 12 in line. They opened at 6pm sharp and were letting 9 inside. Less than 15 minutes and I was out on the street iPhone in hand.
Activation was very simple. Even with the iTunes download it was maybe 15 minutes and I was talking on it.
Very positive experience so far.
Leo,
just got done playing with one here in PA. its as fast and great as the commercial. so fluid, fast, great. connection was wifi at the store. plenty of quantity at the at&t store. Very fair easy deal for existing customers. Just cost of phone + $20/month for sms and unlimited data. so fair. AT&T is going to clean up witht his thing. Keyboard is very smart. took me 3 paragraphs to trust it. enjoy. i need to save a few bucks to get on
Here in Fremont (actually, Union City Hub), they were letting 1 person in as 1 person left. The line wasn't bad. About 80ish in line broken down into couples, family units, single geeks, and combinations thereof. Just as I came close to the entrance, they had announced they were out of the 8GB units and only the 4GB units were available. Consumers choosing 8GB over the 4! But, naturally, they would enter an in-store order fullfillment and you'll get an 8GB iPhone via mail... Time to forage for dinner...
