Checking the Apple iPhone finder. If you want a phone you'll have to go to Tigard, OR or Pittsburgh, PA. http://www.apple.com/retail/iphone

One of my local stores sold out minutes before I was able to pick up 2 more phones. I think Apple is orchestrating this perfectly. Everyone is sold out. Wall Street is dancing. Users are virally sharing the experience and creating demand. And they announce European deals. Absolutely brilliant!
If the rumors were correct, we'll see the next million + iPhone start to roll in within a month or so .. let the natives get restless and give the first round some time to shine with their new toys.
Well the ROM is out there... encrypted but out there. Probably only a matter of time now. You can already use it as a video iPod and get around the ATT activation.
Yeay! Tigard! That's actually a sweet store, in a nice open-air "town square" yuppie mall (they have valet, migawd), with good parking structure not more than a block away. It's my new favorite place to see movies and walk over to the apple store.
Sadly, the movie theatre claims to have just added an "imax screen" but somehow they got away with projecting Imax movies on an ordinary screen, and still calling it Imax. It's a poor shame. Or even a sham. I've seen Imax, and this isn't it.
Oddly enough, I thought about getting my iPhone there sunday, but the apple store slightly closer to me (Tigard) said they had "a few left", so I went there instead.
@ChiefTWiT: Indeed Leo! I keep thinking about that teaser homepage the Apple ran just before the iPhone announcement 'The First 30 years were just the beginning. Welcome to 2007.' Steve clearly also believes that this is his, and Apple's, Elvis year. Exciting times . . .

We're watching Steve Jobs at the peak of his form. Remember this moment.

I'm just waiting for the first person to hack it so I can pop in another SIM card.

I fail to see why you'd rather have a 4GB touchscreen iPod than an 80gb non-touchscreen for half the price?

I'm about a mile from the Tigard store that still has them. :)

I'm waiting for the iPod that has the features of the iPhone, without the phone part.

But is it young cool elvis, or old fat elvis?

So I guess that means most stores are restocking, and then selling that stock, every day? Nice :)
