I am not a fan of comments, I think it clutters things up more on my screen. If I wanted to comment I would message them, but 99% of the Tweets I got were just updates and warrant no comments or feedback. I still have yet to make up my mind on Jaiku, it does have some great features over Twitter. /end_rant
I would like the comments to be "minimizeable"... so that you just see the main "jaikus" first, and then you could expand the comments out from under it.
I think it would be cool to implement the comments into a thread where you could click on a "+" sign to reveal addt'l comments instead of appearing flat to minimize clutter
The reason I started using Twitter was entirely due to Twitterific. I really don't like having to go to Jaiku's page to use it. If someone were to make a 3rd part app for Jaiku of twitterific's caliber, then I'm hooked.

making the comments less visible in list views is definitely an idea we've considered, the option may turn up later on to toggle that setting

Once there are some good killer apps, Jabber and sms support I might switch, although most of my friends are still and will stick to Twitter.
