There is no need for wikipedia hate - if you want to hate something, hate those that post inaccurate information in wiki. ;-)

I can see how Paul might hate it...

I use to dislike Wikipedia and didn't think much of it. I then noticed I was using it more and more. It's not the only source I use, but for some things it's not too bad and for other things pretty good in fact. I go with Jimmy Wales (on net@nite IIRC) who said do not totally rely on Wikipedia, confirm it with other sources.

Agreed, I use wiki in my own gaming podcast to cover history in gaming.

Without it, where would I go? Last I checked Britannica it had nothing on the history of Atari or anything of that matter.

I can understand him hating it if it has inaccurate info about him or his opinions. He is not the only one...........

I rely on it for a lot of research ... and I never understood why people would just shun it from their lives ... its not all accureate ... but who need perfection, anyhow?

I do like it for when I need some strange piece of info or just don't feel like digging through the encyclopedia.

Yep. You can find a lot of great leads and information that is useful. I just wouldn't use it to, say, operate on a bleeding victim or deciding if a plant contained a deadly poison.

Then again, I don't really know what you'd use to operate on a bleeding victim. But you get what I mean.. :)

I like wikipedia a lot but i can not wait to hear what Paul is getting mad about. Is Microsoft killing the Zune? Xbox 360 Elite delay? It could be so many things.
Maybe Microsoft got him again with Microsoft genuine advantage again.
    Paul stop stealing software.

It will be interesting to see why he is upset. He is such an easy going guy. I just wish the Microsoft Weekly podcast was more like the Mac Break Weekly podcast. They seem to have so much fun there, plus I like the panel discussion and not just one person. I can't wait to hear what he has to say, and why he is so mad.

I just listened to WW podcast and there's no mention to Wikipedia... Leo, have you edit out this part of the show?

  • mikezworld

He probably did ... doesn't want everyone to hear him pissed off ...
